An international and national discussion about the management instruments and strategies for the green spaces of the UNESCO city, in a perspective of urban redevelopment.
Experiences in Kyoto, Paris, Bordeaux, Barcelona, and Hannover are compared with those of the Medici villas, the Savoy Gardens, and the cities of Rome and Ferrara, in a lively discussion of ideas and innovative tools that end with the presentation of the study carried out on over 100 Renaissance gardens founded by the Gonzaga family within their Duchy.
The gardens of Palazzo Te in Mantua and the garden of Palazzo Giardino in Sabbioneta have been the subject of a thorough scientific and historical-critical analysis, which resulted in an ambitious, innovative project concept.
