The MAIN EVENT of #EATMANTUA will be held on Friday 23rd June and Saturday 24th and will include the launch of the new edition of  "Cucina Mantovana di Principi e di Popolo" by Gino Brunetti, pseudonym of Don Costante Berselli, and a day dedicated to traditional Mantuan sweets and pastries.

#EATMANTUA / IL GIARDINO DEI SAPORI A PALAZZO TE (The Garden of Savours at Palazzo Te)

From 25 August to 10 September at Palazzo Te a video installation will narrate the history of Mantua's wine and food. An insight into the work of the great interpreters of its cuisine, past and contemporary, will reveal its creative processes and their evolution. We will go on a virtual tour of the kitchens where the dishes are today created and made.

In the garden of the Exedra at Palazzo Te, the Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe, the association that brings together the best among the youngest representatives of European gourmet food, will interpret Mantuan dishes with themed dinners, and will also create some original examples of ‘Garden Food’, side by side with the cuisine and patisseries of the Mantuan tradition; all will be accompanied by typical Mantuan wines.

The evenings will be further enlivened by musical events performed by international contemporary musicians, and some original cocktail shows.

Entrance to the Exedra garden will cost 5 Euro and include access from 19.30 to four food areas: Jeunes Restaurateurs d'Europe; samples of Mantua's gourmet food; a selection of Mantuan pastries and cakes, and an area organized by the Consorzio dei Vini Mantovani wine consortium. Concerts and cocktail shows by some of Italy’s most famous barmen are also included in the ticket.
The ticket will also be valid for a free Ea(s)t Lombardy product of the month-based taste at local restaurants adhering to the initiative, until 31 December 2017.
