Luca Alinari will be the focus of a retrospective exhibition from 13 October to 14 November.
This show presents the works of a life dedicated to art, from the beginning with his first personal exhibition in Florence in 1968, up to the current time.
The first time Luca Alinari showed his works, a presentation was made by his poet and friend Alfonso Gatto.
During the Eighties, he participated at the Biennale in Venice and in 1993 he had a retrospective show at Palazzo Reale in Milan.
In Florence, in the Corridoio Vasariano of the Uffizi, his self-portrait has been on display since 1999, when it was purchased by the museum.
Among other exhibitions, we remember the Museum of Beijing and the Centre for Contemporary Art in Shanghai.
On 10 June 2015, he received the "Filo d’argento" award for painting, along with other ambassadors of culture, such as Sergio Zavoli (journalism), Lindsay Kemp (dance), Don Backy (music), and Francesco Gurrieri (architecture).
The retrospective exhibition at Casa del Mantegna highlights all the stages of his brilliant career.
