Chiesa della Madonna del Terremoto

The church is really little more than a chapel, built around an image of the Madonna that the people of Mantua believe to be miraculous.
It is located opposite Palazzo Canossa in the piazza with the same name.
The Madonna del Terremoto is therefore built around the image which is now in the presbytery.
The Baroque structure, typical of the period in which it was built, is clearly noticeable in both the façade and the single nave of the church.
Inside, beyond the fenced presbytery, there are a few altarpieces, painted by Giuseppe Bazzani, the painter from Mantua, which are now kept at the Diocesan Museum.
