Jewish ghetto - via Dottrina Cristiana

The homes along Via Dottrina Cristiana formed the Northern side of the ghetto boundaries, and the street bears this name because of a small oratory that overlooked it.
The corner building with Via Giustiziati is the one in which the Banco del Monte di Pietà was located.
This bank was encouraged by the ecclesiastic hierarchies as an alternative to the Jewish pawn shops.
On its side, looking up, one can see traces of an alley, long since cut off, which used to connect via Giustiziati with Via Dottrina Cristiana.
