Torre della Specola

It has the function of a weather observatory for the city, and owes its name to the possibility of studying the sky with the help of optical instruments.
Inside the tower, records of weather observations are kept, dating as far back as 1838.
These records, in addition to being important evidence, also offer the chance to witness, first hand, the evolution of the precision of measuring instruments.
The observatory's activities are possible, to this day, thanks to the contribution of local authorities and institutions.
The entrance to the Specola Tower is inside the lyceum, and tours are not allowed.
